Conceptual work

The brief for this home included creating a practical, functional and elegant retreat for a large family to enjoy the cold winters as well as the warm summers of Queenstown.

Minimal and modern internal architecture, a soft material palette - the perfect contrasts with the richness of dramatic tones and sometimes harsh surfaces outside.

The exceptional scale of the building allows a series of grand sliding panels to become architectural elements that conceal all the storage. The furniture and soft furnishings were carefully selected to create harmony through proportions and tones.
